Manon Costard placing 2nd at the Moomba Masters
After working on healing up a back injury for five months, Manon Costard comes back for the first tournament of the season in Melbourne, Australia. The event, known to be one of the biggest water ski competition, takes place on the Yarra river; a challenging site due to a mix of current, back wash and brackish water.
"Each year we come back to compete, and each year, we absolutely love seeing the crowded Yarra bank. It simply never gets old." - Manon Costard
With lower scores than the previous years, Manon Costard managed to defend her 2016 and 2017 2nd places with 2.5 buoys at 11m behind Whitney McClintock who scored 3 buoys at 11m.

"Making the Moomba Masters my first event back from injury was a risk I wanted to take and I had accepted I would not be 100% ready for it. I am truly happy with the outcome of it and ready to get back to training for the rest of the season" - Manon Costard
